Kiran, and James Church) led the effort to establish the International Ileal Pouch Consortium (IIPC) to meet the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. A series of consensus guidelines entitled “Diagnosis and Classification of Ileal Pouch Disorders”, “Management of Inflammatory Disorders of the Ileal Pouch”, “ Management of Pouch Neoplasia”, and “Management of Structural Complications of the Ileal Pouch” were published Lancet Gastroenterology and Hepatology. It is the time to spread up-to-date knowledge in the documents to regional, national, and international audiences.
