A \u003cstrong\u003egeneral overview of key geriatric oncology topics\u003c\/strong\u003e will be provided including: the use of the comprehensive geriatric assessment; communication strategies in the assessment of older adults; and assessment of fitness versus frailty, resilience, and risk stratification prior to cancer-directed therapies.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of \u003cstrong\u003ecognitive impairment\u003c\/strong\u003e will be addressed, including the role of neuropsychiatric testing, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychopharmacology interventions. Participants will be introduced to \u003cstrong\u003egeriatric collaborative programs\u003c\/strong\u003e in the context of breast medicine and bone marrow transplantation, and the \u003cstrong\u003eintersection of geriatric medicine and palliative care\u003c\/strong\u003e will be discussed. Comprehensive geriatric care will be highlighted in \u003cstrong\u003eacademic, community-based, and international settings\u003c\/strong\u003e.
