Lecture and Q\u0026amp;A presentations will outline the context, structure, alignment with existing guidelines and rules, using case-based format.\r\n\r\nPanel discussion and audience Q\u0026amp;A with Commissioners from the state’s Medical, Osteopathic, Nursing, Podiatric, Dental boards will follow. Specific assessment of individualized opioid risks and use of the state’s Prescription Drug Monitoring Program will be presented in case-based formats.\r\n\r\nCommunication and treatment planning for patients already on prescribed opioids that are transferring to new providers will also be presented in case-based format. Consultation requirements and how to access specialists for high-risk patients will be reviewed. Case-based panel discussion with audience Q\u0026amp;A with focus on practical application of the rules will conclude the conference.
