    About the On-Demand Course: The Transplant Hepatology Board’s Review of AASLD’s On-Demand Program.
    • The 2020 AASLD Transplant Hepatology Board Review Course, which was originally scheduled for August 15th-16th in Dallas, TX, has been converted into a on-demand course. This format will be released in the fifth week of August, 2020.

     
    • The objective of this class is to assist doctors in their preparation for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), both of which require a certification process for physicians regarding transplant hepatology and pediatric transplant hepatology. The training is in line with the current version of theABIM/ABP Transplant Hepatology Certification Exam blueprint. Experts in transplant medicine and hepatology that are prominent will discuss topics of high yield in clinical practice. The course is intended to provide a comprehensive analysis of the current treatment of patients with liver transplants, while also serving as a resource for the preparation of the ABIM/ABP Transplant Hepatology exam.
    Components of the class:
    The on-demand course is comprised of onlinepresentations that use PowerPoint as their primary medium of presentation along with audio description. It additionally features online pre and post tests and assessments. The essential components are:
    • 25 online, recorded stories that range from 20 to 45 minutes in duration.
    • MOC questions for each session.
    • The evaluation of CME credit/ABIM and ABP MOC’s point of offerings.
