    Advanced Facial Anatomy Series

S1-EP1 : ANATOMY OF NASAL AREA with Dr FRÉDÉRIC BRACCCINI
Anatomy of Nasal Area : Dr Frédéric Braccini examines the nasal area where complications mainly involve potential vascular injury. He highlights key static, dynamic and artistic aspects when treating the nose, which cannot be seen in isolation. Real dangers exist here but, by following safety protocols, risks can be reduced, and excellent results achieved.
S1-EP2 : ANATOMY OF INFRAORBITAL AREA with Dr JAVIER BEUT
The Infraorbital area: Dr Javier Beut provides insights into how to approach the infraorbital area, which he considers to be divided into two zones (medial/lateral). An advocate for “blending” rather than filling, he shows the three parts of the orbicularis oculi muscle and also demonstrates his techniques for reducing risks when injecting.
S1-EP3 : ANATOMY OF TEMPLES with Dr ALESSANDRO GUALDI
Dr Gualdi examines temple hollowing, an important element in facial ageing often overlooked by patients. He explains the importance of anatomy for developing a sensibility when injecting; understanding different layers, fascia, nerves, vascularity, muscles; where to inject and how deep; use of cannula or needle; the importance of touch in the process; appropriate products and quantities.
S1-EP4 : PERIORBITAL AREA with Dr PETER PALHAZI
Dr Palhazi examines the supraorbital area and the consequences of its anatomy. Taking a very close look at each individual layer, he talks about the impact of the different structures on the appropriate injection approach to adopt in terms of superficiality, planes, and depth. Q & A’s follow relating to vessels, whether to use cannula or needle etc….
S1-EP5 : ANATOMY OF CHIN with Dr THOMAS RAPPL
Dr Thomas Rappl explains the importance of anatomical knowledge, relaxed skin tension lines, maintaining the balance of muscular activity and knowing your limits; angles and harmonious proportions and best possible projection (potential issues with the facial artery and submandibular arteries, retaining ligaments..).
S1-EP6 : ANATOMY OF JAWLINE with Dr PHILIPPE KESTEMONT
Dr Philippe Kestemont demonstrates how to safely achieve better definition of the jawline without surgery. Adopting a dynamic approach (position of the DAO, facial platysma muscle, zygomatic major….) to illustrate the mobility of the lower face, he explores a practical approach (safer planes, projection and extension using fillers….). He reveals anatomical variations and how to minimize risks.
S1-EP7 : ANATOMY OF MIDDLE THIRD with Prof SEBASTIAN COTOFANA
Prof. Cotofana focuses on the middle third of the face; its anatomical definition, the line of ligaments separating it into medial and lateral parts, medial “active mobility” and lateral “passive mobility”, and the impact of these withgravity on treatment options. He also exploresvariations in skin thickness and the importance of understanding underlying facial structures, particularly as the face matures.
