EMG/NCS Online Series: Volume VII Electrodiagnostic Evaluation of Ulnar Neuropathy

Ulnar neuropathy is a very common reason for referral for electrodiagnostic studies. So we were honored to have Dr William Campbell and Dr. John Kincaid tell us about Ulnar neuropathy. You will be intrigued by the ‘body painting’ to show the Ulnar nerve, and the actual Cubital tunnel. When they discuss case studies you will enjoy their friendly disagreements. The AANEM guidelines for Ulnar neuropathy are included as a pdf file.

    Author(s)  :  William W. Campbell, M.D., M.S.H.A.; John C. Kincaid, M.D.

    Description

Learn from the experts in the DVD that illustrates and discusses the anatomy of the ulnar nerve in the elbow and hand regions. Variations of normal forearm and hand anatomy are discussed as well as and how those impact the diagnosis of ulnar neuropathy. You will see demonstrations of the nerve conduction studies utilized in the evaluation of ulnar neuropathy including inching techniques. This DVD also demonstrates needle examination pertinent to evaluation of ulnar neuropathy. Also included are clinical vignettes and electrodiagnostic results in patients with ulnar neuropathy and conditions which arise in the differential diagnosis.
