    International League Against Epilepsy 14th International Newborn Brain Conference 2023


    The International Newborn Brain Conference (INBBC) provides a state-of-the-art forum for presentation and discussion of current research and clinical practice in newborn brain care, including diagnosis, monitoring and management strategies to optimize neurodevelopmental outcome.  It explores the means to understand, monitor, protect and treat the newborn brain. The INBBC provides continuing medical education to multidisciplinary professionals working to improve the neurological and developmental health outcomes of premature and high-risk newborns.
    • The 14th International Newborn Brain Conference took place on February 8th through 11th in Clearwater, FL USA. As a hybrid conference, attendees had the option of attending virtually or in-person, with all attendees gaining on-demand access to sessions for 3 months following the conference.

    With close to 400 attendees from 58 countries, the newborn brain community had a wonderful time connecting and learning in the four-day program.

    Taeun Chang Early Career Travel Award

    Anna Shiraki was presented the Taeun Chang Early Career Travel Award for having the most outstanding abstract by a traine/early career candidate. This inaugural award is In honor of Professor Taeun Chang and her contribution to the field of neonatal neurology as a clinician, researcher and mentor.
