    • Apply a structured approach to analyzing melanocytic lesions and distinguishing nevus from melanoma
    • Recognize unique subtypes of nevus and melanoma that may easily misdiagnosed
    • Apply a structured approach to classifying skin adnexal tumors
    • Recognize serious non-neoplastic dermatologic conditions that are often urgent or emergent clinically and handle them appropriately and expediently
    • Utilize a pattern based descriptive approach to evaluating and reporting inflammatory skin biopsies
    • Identify and recognize important sarcomas that often arise in skin
    • Recognize and diagnose various fibrohistiocytic, myxoid, and other spindle cell lesions that commonly present in skin
    • Recognize select hematolymphoid and histiocytic entities that commonly present in skin
