Overview
MD Anderson Cancer Center Oncologic Emergency Medicine Conference often present into community based emergency rooms across the country and require specialized treatment, care and attention. Because there are so few cancer-specific emergency rooms, these patients are often being treated by healthcare providers that might not have the appropriate knowledge, skill or experience to make accurate diagnoses. This two-day, live virtual course will include interprofessional panels, as well as lectures from experts in the field to update and improve the treatment and care for the oncologic patient.

- Utilize the most up to date approaches for managing oncologic emergencies in an emergency department setting
- Assess the importance of effective communication and teamwork while managing oncologic emergencies
