• The success of the therapy depends on the correct positioning of the implant, the adequate management of the hard and soft peri-implant tissues and the effectiveness of the prosthetic therapy.
• The long-term success of implant-supported prosthetic elements is unconditionally linked to the compliance of the patient, with particular emphasis on plaque control and the frequency of professional hygiene calls.

Implant positioning errors, incorrect prosthetic management or poor hygienic maintenance can compromise the result, both from a functional and an aesthetic point of view.
